Hey bloggers today I am sharing a layout with some
fun techniques to try ! I used a sketch from
Susan at Sketch Savvy!
Sketches are great when you get in a rut or want to change up a bit.
You can see more samples on the
DCWV blog today.
First grab your
stencil, PITT Artist pens and some
sponges and make your faux wood background. I started with burlap
looking paper (all the papers are from DCWV) - the pattern added more "texture" to the piece.
Stick you Clear Scraps Expressions title and
banners through your embossing folder- any will do.
Add Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft®
gesso randomly and allow to dry completely.
Use Gold and Chocolate Gelatos® to scribble across the top of your title,
rub it in with a sponge or your finger.
You get this cool metallic look...
Choose Silver, Squid Ink and Black Gelatos® to do the same for the banner pieces.
Get a Viva pearl pen to add some shine on top ( I used my finger.)
Then added some on the sides of the title.
I really liked how it came out - looks even better in real life!
Metallic colors are hot right now, so I hope you will give this a try!
DCWWV stacks-
chevron paper, baby boy stack
burlap paper- homespun chic stack
double sided cardstock.

Update on baby Tate- thank you for praying and please continue to do so, although
they felt the last surgery went well he continues to struggle and there is a blockage in his
intestines, they have to do another surgery on Monday.
His parents of course are beside themselves, please lift them up as well.
I know that they find comfort in knowing that people everywhere are praying for for them.
