Blog Hop with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® & 100 Proof Press! Tiny works of art- Fairy ATCs

Hey there bloggers!
Today I am participating in
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft®
and 100 Proof Press blog hop!
I made some fun ATC cards with the fairy stamps I recieved;
this is
the "right webbed fairy".

Both companies are giving away big prizes if you
comment on all the blogs along the way! If you are interested you want to
start here  100 Proof Press, you will be ending

I love taking pictures of ATC's because you
get to see the detail up close! Closer than your naked eye!
(ATC's are actually 2.5 x 3.5 inches in real life!)

I used the same techniques on all three ATC's.

The back ground:

I started with acrylic ATC's (Clear Scraps) and put a little gesso in the middle.
To get the textured look I took two cards at a time and sandwiched them
together (gesso in the middle) when I pulled them apart and allowed
them to dry I got that variegated look! Once dry I used a dry sponge and
Gelatos™ in the  Blue Collection - Cotton Candy & Blueberry.
I drew in the dried gesso wiht the Gelatos™ and rubbed them in with
the dry sponges.

*This is the "fairy blowing a kiss" stamp.

Behing the ATC's I used the same dry spong technique with Gelatos™

and added a little iridescent medium. I embellished the ATC's with stars,
tiny words, doodling and pigment ink. The stars stamp is also from 100 Proof Press.

*"Magic stars" stamp

For the Fairies:
I stamped my fairies on watercolor paper with a
Stamper’s Big Brush Pen in black.
I got the skin color by watering
down an orangeArt GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencil.
I filled in the wings and dresses with
PITT® Artist Pens from the Blue and the Green collections.
I cut them out, ran the Stamper’s Big Brush Pen
along the edges and adhered them to the ATC's.

* "Birdie ride" stamp

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft will be giving away a $40 prize pack
and 100 Proof Press will be giving away a $30 gift certificate!

These are fantastic - amazing the effect the clear base has on these ATC's. I just bought my first 2 gelatos and really appreciate you sharing how you used them here!

Came back to add that I want a fairy - seeing this in person would be a great way to see and learn what you did to make these! How very generous of you, Rita!
I do follow you - created a link in my blog sidebar (way easier for me than Google Reader or other ways.)

They look just amazing! I've not seen clear ATCs before (I'm quite a newbie, and there's just so much to discover!), and I love the shimmering beauty of the fairyland you've created on them!
