Hey there bloggers!
Today I am sharing another page from my Art Journal.
They always look kinda weird before you get color on the page -
but I am learning to just go with it. Just like anything worth doing, the more
you do it the more comfortable get with it- so if you haven't
started an art journal and have always wanted to, just go for it!
There are no rules and it's a good way to try out new techniques.
First I made I sketch.
(OK not really - first I added Gesso because my book is made out of handmade paper!)
Then I used Gelatos™ in the Blue Collection,
Cotton Candy, Blueberry and Boysenberry.
Using Gelatos™ is easy - add color with them like crayons but use
lighter touch, as they are soft like a lipstick.
Then I spray the whole page with water and
spread the color around with a paint brush.
I also used the same wet paint brush to flick some of the
Gelatos™ that was still on the brush. If you look carefully you can also
see the shimmer from the Metallic Blueberry
Gelatos™.
Here is the finished page (for now- I do reserve the right to go back at
any time to change something or add to the page! LOL!)
I used the same technique for her hair with Gelatos™ from
the red collection - Red Cherry & Bubble Gum.
I went back with PITT® Artist Pens for journaling, stars and outlines.
Today I posted this on the Ta Da blog
