Changing.
With all the changes in my life recently the one constant is art.
Even my scrapbooking has art in it.
I have been unable to (unmotivated?) to scrap lately
so today I am sharing another journal page with you.
This time I took some pictures in progress...
the drawing...
I knew as soon as I finished this drawing
that this would be one of my favorite pages!

I used gelatos- peach and orange. I drew color onto the
page then blended it with a wet paint brush.
I wanted a more opaque feel to her skin so I added a little white acrylic paint too.
For the background, I glued down newsprint scraps and gold and brown Gelatos
and PITT artist Pens to fill in all the other color!

I really love the bold color!!!
Isn't she fun?
I call her my butterfly fairy.

Well I hope you are having a wonderful summer!
Me? I am trying to obey doctors orders and lay low.
Anybody who knows me knows how hard that is for me.
Anybody who knows me knows how hard that is for me.
I feel like I lost a month of my life from this surgery!
I have so many things I want to do...
But I have to wait. Boring...In the mean time I can draw...
I hope you are doing something fun!

Well if thats what unmotivated looks like...give me some !!
Wow, stunning. I love that you are doing the fairy folk, you are talking my language, love the woodland one too.
I had that surgery too...and was convinced they left a tool inside somewhere. I remember being angry at how it really knocked me down for weeks. In the end, it all worked out. It was a necessary thing, and I am so glad I did it.
Don't over do things, just take it easy, you will heal.
So beautiful, Rita!!
Glad you are taking it easy!
Wow, wow, wow! That is a beautiful piece of art girl!! Love all of the bold and fabulous colors!
Just read about your surgery and being allergic to the stitches! So happy to hear that you are on the mend! Saying a prayer that you stay on the road to recovery! I'll be thinking about you :)

Jeesh, I just left a message but it didn't go through for some reason....I just came home from a 2 weeks Alaskan cruise and found my FC prize---you are so generous---I love their products!!! I also hope that you are doing better--you have been going through a horrible time, and I hope that you start healing well, and don't have problems with your stitches anymore. I didn't get to read your whole posting because I'm exhausted (I'll have to read it tomorrow). I'll be praying for a full and quick recovery!!!
Had to stop by and see what you were up to! You always inspire me, Rita!!
