Happy Easter

Today I am quoting a blog I love to read,

                                     her name is Holly

This is the day...

that you get to begin a new week.
This is the day...
that you're loved just as you are.
{1 John 4:18}
This is the day...
you have everything you need.
{2 Peter 1:3}
This is the day...
that victory is yours.
{Romans 8:37}
This is the day...
that God has made.
{Psalm 118:24}
There's never been one like it before and there will never be again. You're in this moment, time, place for a purpose and you've got what it takes to fulfill it.

Because of this day, Easter, I know...

1 Thessalonians 4:15-17
16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

I hope you know this too, if you ever want to talk about it or have any questions please email me!
Happy Easter friends!

Family, a mini album

Hey Bloggers! I had the pleasure of working with some totally cute papers from Imaginisce on this project for Clear Scraps! First of all did you know you can order any name/word from Clear Scraps to make an album? For this I chose the word "Family".
This is a book of those random pictures, maybe you don't have enough to make a layout about it. Or maybe not the best pics but you love them because they are cute?... If you print them in a small size they look good but you can't blow them up? (Yes I take those pictures too!LOL!) That's what is great about mini's you can utilize those photos!

Note the acrylic pages? I have a tutorial on the Clear Scraps Blog today about how to do that!

And can you believe in all these photos NOT ONE came out great !
Someone was looking somewhere else or doing something crazy ( Ahem hubby!)
But hey, we were all together right?
So it goes in the album!

Supplies:
Clear Scraps Word Album, Papers & Stamps Imaginisce "Berrylicious" collection,
Ink- Staz On, Paints Shimmerz and Paint Daubbers, Glue Dots(R), Foam Squares, other adhesives

Sunday...

Hey bloggers! What did you do this weekend?
We took the kids to the church for Easter festivities which
of course, included an egg hunt. There were so many eggs
the kids were stuffing their pockets! LOL!
We stopped by the house to see the progress they have made!! How cool is this?
The front of the house...ahhh looks like home...
The back of the house and the yard.
The bay window is the master bedroom.
Still contemplating where the scraproom will be.
Bigger space and no doors and upstairs away from guests view
or behind closed doors, access to formal dining room but you have to pass the
french doors to get in the house... I have some time.

House Updates!!! Whoo hoo!
 Front of the house
 Our bedroom bay window!

Outdoor fireplace and covered patio!
Game room or possible scrapbook room at the top of the stairs...

Study or possible scrapbook room facing the front of the house...
This would be my view if I used the study as a scrapbook room. I am trying to decide which one to use. At first I was sure it would be upstairs (the game room-that space is huge and open 13 x 14ft)  but it is open, there is no door to keep  little ones(8,7 & 5 year old) out when I'm not around and it leads to the stairs and hallway for the kids rooms. While the study downstairs is 12x11 1/2 and part of the room is cut as the french doors are on the corner. However it is right next to the formal dining room so if I had ladies over to scrap we would utilize both rooms and I can close those doors and keep the kids out. Decisions, decisions...what do you think?

Honor

Lately my hubby has been watching "Coming Home" - you know the show where they show service men and women coming home to their families?  I can't watch it  - way too much crying involved!
But it did inspire me to make this wall hanging! When I think of the people serving our country I think of honor - we need to honor those who put their families aside to protect and serve our country.

Whats going on....Motherhood

If you are a regular reader of my blog you are probably wondering whats going! LOL! Yes I broke my ankle but no, I have not fallen of the earth! I am busy busy busy creating! As a matter of fact the next three days I will have a new post each day with a new project. (four counting today!!!)The only bummer about being on design teams is you are working on someone else's schedule so although I have projects to share I have to wait until they post it or until the date they want or the date want me to "reveal" it. So without further adue...

I made this for ScrapGal (which is currently closed for inventory) with American Crafts papers. I was going through my old pictures trying to find something and ran across this pic. Back in the day when we only had two children or firstborn and her brother (and hubby! LOL!) They were so cute! I can't believe how fast the time goes.  Now he has graduated HS (early! he is 16!!!) and she is about to finish her first year of college! Here is a current photo (taken during Christmas break.)
Close up of the journaling. The butterfly and bird chipboard were naked - I painted them with Shimmerz Paints - the sparkle effect came out just the way I wanted it to look - like a stained window effect.
It looks so much better in person!

And the bird I love the sparkle - tried to give you a glimpse of the sparkle I can see in person!

Supplies: Pattern Papers American Crafts Dear Lizzy, Garden Gala & Growing Green,
Cardstock Creative Memories, Alphas American Crafts, Stickles (on clouds)
Shimmerz Paints & Pearlz & Blingz,
Chipboard Scrap FX, Faber-Castell PITT Artist Pen -green mettalic

Adore

I love when you get a good photo and you weren't even trying! I love this photo of the little ones!
A Sunday afternoon on the way home from church we stopped and decided to take a few pictures.
I think this is one for the scrapbook room! ( As soon as the house gets finished!)
I decided to use some stuff from my stash - I love this Heidi Swapp resist paper, I really wish she'd make more. I did see that Tim Holtz has some Kraft resist paper out, haven't tried that yet.
The floral paper is Prima, so is the bling. I used Distress inks for the colors.
Meanwhile thanks for the well wishes on my ankle! I do not need surgery- YAY!
I am in a boot instead of a cast - YAY!
It could take 4-6 weeks to heal - BOO!
The good still outweighs the bad!
I really , truly am trying to take it easy...
Seriously!
I have graduations(priorities) to attend next month (including my sons!)
and I don't want to do it in a boot!

Hope you are having a great day!
