Color Technique: Have you ever wanted to change the colors on your layout because you have a really great idea? Or maybe you don’t have an embellishment in the matching color? I loved the idea of a rainbow to go with my layout but I am not digitally inclined so I came up with this.
I printed a black and white photo (I added the text in white in Photoshop) and then used distress ink and a blending tool! (A foam sponge would work in a pinch, but having a handle helps!) I used the different color inks right on the photo! When it came to the next color I blended the two together so there would not be harsh lines between the colors, like a rainbow!
In addition to this I wanted the bling to match so I used Alcohol Inks on them. Before removing the bling from the sheet it’s on, I put drops of each color direct from the bottle onto the bling, changing colors after a few. If the color was too light I did another coat when it dried. After it was completely dry I removed it and put it on my layout. (You can’t rush this process with a heat gun or your bling will get stuck to the surface it’s on!) Easy!
I used it on the center of this bling flower and circle too.
