New Year! Possibility...

I dont know about you, but new years to me is not just about resolutions it's about looking back to evaluate the past and see what was good and what could be better. Oh um, hence the resolutions! LOL! Well I am not one to make resolutions I can't keep - not going to even address things like excercise! LOL!

I am however commited to do the "your lifetime story" challenges on http://faithbooksisters.com/ so I need to be "open" to my past and history and I am also very excited that I bought an art journal and I have commited to do something "artsy" at least once a week in my book! My goal is to try something new, medium, technique, whatever in it. I want to be "open" to new ideas! I am so excited about this!

If I had to pick one word to describe what I would like for 2010 it would be "OPEN".

Since my new theme is "open" I thought I'd share with you this layout. I made the ATC's ( Artist Trading Cards) first- something I have never done before.

As long as I was trying something new I got this idea for a my head shots. The pictures didn't come out that well, but I fixed them up in Photoshop I got this really fun artsy look! I printed them on transperancies then adhered them the cards I sprayed with Glimmer Mist, Moon Glow spray and stamped. Then I added all the pretty embellies!

I thought they would be perfect for this layout I was doing for http://scrapbookingfromtheinsideout.com/
The new kit for January is "Possibility". I love this quote and the ATC's were perfect to bring this layout together! If you can't read it, it says:

"There are many who are living far below their possibilities because they are continually handing over their individualities to others. Do you want to be a power in the world? Then be yourself."

                                                                     Ralph Waldo Trine

I don’t necessarily want to be a power in the world but I definitely want to make a difference!

The details...Lots of Prima, flowers and bling.
Metal flower from Creative Imaginations.
I also used Stickles on the top.

I am commited to trying something new and I will be sharing these new techniques, mediums or whatevr I can come up with here on my blog.

I am looking forward to this because this will also give me the opportunity to tackle some of those challenges (journal prompts) I love at Scrapbooking from the Inside Out - it may not be a scrapbook page but it is a journal! It should be interesting to mix the art, journal, scrapbook whatever happens...("OPEN")

The best is yet to come! Happy New Year!
Wishing you the best in 2010! Blessings full of peace, joy and much love in 2010!
