Scraptoberfest part II

"When some you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure."
I love that quote. Here is another layout I made from the "Loss" kit at Scrapbooking from the Inside Out". This theme brought up many memories of my Abuela (grandmother).
I hope that you can read this!(Click on it to make it bigger!)

More details...

My Abuela is on the left and mother in the right...

tada...the complete layout...

Here is a quote from Rachel, founder at Scrapbooking From the Inside out.

I'm here to remind you that you matter, too! Your story needs to be told by you, both for you as well as for future generations. One of the most important gifts you can give your children is the gift of you-who you truly are and what you think and feel. And most importantly, in the process of telling your story, in all its beauty and depth, its glorious times, messy moments, and painful lessons, you will be transformed.
My Abuela passed away when my oldest was born; There are so many questions that I would've like to ask her but can't. I have a box of pictures from her with no names or explanations that I would love to know about. I scrap for me (the creative process as well as working through my own things- "scraptherapy") but I also scrap for my children and our future generation; I want them to get a feel for their family, who we are and what we believe. Some layouts are fun and full of joy, some have been painful but just as important. I scrap like the person I am, honest and real.
It has a name now, the October contest I am running. Yep giving stuff away. No pictures yet but it will be good I promise!!! Remember - leave a comment after each post in October and get a chance to win. Being a follower or signing up to be a follower gets another chance to win. The previous post has two other ways to win (involving scrapbooking of course!) Oh lets add another chance to win - if you post about my little give away leave me a link and I will throw your name in the hat 4 more times!!! All month I will giving you topics to scrapbook and examples that I hope will inspire you!!!
